I’ve not spent a huge amount of time in Manila but I really must say it’s an amazing country. Anyway, I’m just commenting here because I’m reading blogs about filipino life and found your site through google. If you have any ideas on things to try when in Manila then I’d love to hear them

Hi! Creative writing school? Syempre, UP Diliman ang pinaka ok.

The Clash of the Best

It was the third time that my cousin who was a graduate of October 2007 has taken the Nursing Licensure Board Exam. And, he can finally celebrate for passing it with an average score of 81.2. He said that this is the result of hard work and the magic of review centers.
Since year 2001, there was an enormous increase in the population of nursing students in the country. Even, foreign students would even prefer to study Nursing here than in their own country. And so the competition among Nursing colleges and Universities became intense as to cope with the increasing demand for nurses. Percentage passing rate serves as the verdict for the deans and the college’s quality education and top notchers whether in the top 10 or top 20 are becoming the free endorsers of the school. In the flow of these issues came along the popularity of review centers who keep promising a 99.9% passing and a quality instructors who were authors of books or with PhD degrees etc etc. I’ve listed some of the famous review centers for nurses and their founders.
ASCEND - Trinidad Ignacio RM RN MAN
RA Gapuz Review Center - Ray A. Gapuz RN MAN
Review University for Nurses (RUN) -
Sultan Review Group (SRG) -Edmund Sultan
Marlon Ray Labagnoy Review Center (MRLRC) - Marlon Ray Labagnoy
Merge - Dervid S. Jungco RN USRN, and others.
Carl Balita Revie Center - Dr. Carl Balita

Ascend… Well, to tell you the truth if I happen to research about St. Thomas and Shield I would have put them there. [there are just some people who told me to write a blog about this) I consider ASCEND as one of the best primarily because it is the longest standing NLE review center in the country. In terms of the quality education…I can tell you that it still depends on your foundation, not really the review center. However, rumors can be helpful a lot…

Hi, Im now in my fourth year of nursing and I still feel inadequate in terms of knowledge. I was browsing and I happned to see your blog. I am still in a dilemna which review center will I consider. I have Ascend, St Thomas and Shield in mind. Ascend because its reviewres are from UST though I haven’t heard any of them lecture. But with the passing rate of Thomasians, there is no room for doubts. St Thomas is on my list too because the way Tim Concepcion explains. Though his jokes are overused I still think he is exceptionally good. With his pathophysiology, no one could go wrong in answering questions made by Carmencita Abaquin and her board members. Shield is one to consider because of proximity to my place. Though their reviewers like Dr. Bon is quite impressive but too elaborate on his pathophysiology. May I know why you consider Ascend as one of the best review centers? Thanks.
